A few points about astrology
History
First of all, astrology is not a natural science like astronomy. Rather, it is a philosophical system that has developed over several millennia and is based on empirical observations and experiences. The foundations of astrology are based on symbolism and synchronicity - but there are clearly recognizable connections with planetary and earthly phenomena. If you want to find out more about the exciting history of astrology, there are great articles on this topic on Astro-Wikipedia.
Development
Personalized astrology found its way into the media world at the beginning of the 20th century at the latest and the first “horoscopes” appeared in newspapers and magazines. Perhaps the idea was to make this wonderful symbolic language more accessible to people, but unfortunately a completely distorted image of astrology emerged. A horoscope is not simply a star sign (the sign of the zodiac where the sun is at birth), but is made up of at least ten planetary factors and other calculated points. Thanks to the advance of transpersonal psychology, astrology became increasingly important from the middle of the 20th century and was perceived in a more differentiated way. It was not least the Swiss psychologist C.G. Jung who, thanks to his enthusiasm for symbolic languages, made a significant contribution to the respectability of astrology.
Applications
Astrology is a symbolic language that finds analogies in various ways. Consequently, there are also different “astrologies” and a variety of professional practitioners. There are astrologers who deal exclusively with world events, others who interpret horoscopes for specific questions or occasions. Others use astrology in the world of finance or combine their knowledge for medical issues. Astrological psychology is of interest to people who want to get to know with their unique dispositions and tendencies and use these findings and insights to develop their own personality for their professional and personal development.
Good to know
You cannot tell from a horoscope who or what was born at a particular time. It is therefore important to understand that in a personal horoscope, the soul and the free will of the person are decisive in how the existing energies and dispositions are lived. In addition, about half of our personality is shaped by the circumstances and conditions of our childhood. However, it is important to note that the horoscope exists before the upbringing! In psychological astrology, we therefore assume that the resources described there can be made accessible.
There are astrologers who have the ability to make relatively accurate predictions about the fate of nations and world events in general. After all, a country also has a moment of birth and therefore a horoscope. In individual, psychological astrology, however, the above-mentioned soulfulness of the horoscope determines the way in which the current transiting energies are implemented, which is why SOULSTARS does not make any predictions.
